La boucle est bouclée - a medal designed by 5•5 design studio for the 2014 Schneider marathon in Paris.

Designing the medal for this marathon, which is run in the most beautiful city in the world, is a rare occasion for a designer. For marathon runners, placing the ribbon around one's neck is a unique memory that marks the achievement of a physical challenge; a symbolic gesture that likely matters more than the object itself.

It was therefore natural to design this medal as a continuation of the ribbon, given a more solid form to leave an unforgettable trace. A loop that represents the distance covered on the Parisian pavement.

Its finish simply had to be golden, since all of the finishers of the Schneider Marathon in Paris receive, and deserve, gold medals!
